What should I write about my cart?

Write what you would tell a neighbour who walked up and asked about it — and if you are not sure where to start, the list under the box is what buyers ask most.

The short version

The form already has your year, make, price, seats and photos. The story is for everything a spec line cannot say: what you have put into it, how it has been looked after, and what it has been part of.

Two or three honest sentences beat a page of it.

The things buyers ask about

Underneath the story box there is a standing list. It is there to jog your memory, not to be filled in:

Mention the ones that apply to your cart and skip the rest. Nothing on that list is required, and nothing is ticked off.

Do I have to write anything at all?

No. The story is optional and your listing publishes without it. A listing needs a price, a year, a make and its photos (1 for a basic listing, 3 for a premium one) — that is the whole requirement.

Where does it show?

On your listing's own page, underneath the photos. It never appears on the card in the feed, so it does not have to be short enough to fit anywhere.

Can I change it later?

Yes, at any time, from Manage my listing. Edits go live straight away.

Still stuck?

Write the one thing you would want to know if you were buying it. That is almost always the right first sentence.
