Terms of Use

These terms apply to everyone who uses VillagesGolfCartSales.com (the "site"), which is run by The Trusted Pro Group ("we," "us"). By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. What this site is, and isn't

The site is a place for people to list golf carts and low-speed vehicles for sale, find carts to buy, and share cart photos with the community.

We are not a party to any sale. We don't own, inspect, test, value or guarantee any cart listed here, and we're not a dealer or a broker. Every sale is between the buyer and the seller. Any agreement about price, condition, payment, title, delivery or warranty is between them.

2. Who can use the site

You must be 18 or older to create an account or list a cart.

3. Your account

You sign in with a link we email you. Keep access to that email account secure, because anyone who can open your email can sign in as you. You're responsible for what happens under your account.

4. Listing a cart

When you list a cart, you promise that:

• You own it, or you have the right to sell it.
• Everything in your listing is true and accurate, including its condition, year, make, model, price and whether it's street legal.
• The VIN, if you give one, belongs to that cart.
• The photos are of that cart, and you took them or have the right to use them.
• The cart isn't stolen, and isn't subject to a lien or claim you haven't told the buyer about.

Listings are checked automatically before they go live. Some checks will stop a listing until it's fixed, such as missing details, too few photos, a price outside our range or explicit content. Others will ask you a question about your listing, which you can answer or dismiss.

We may edit the formatting of a listing, or remove any listing, for any reason, including if we believe it breaks these terms.

5. Buying a cart

Do your own homework before you buy. We recommend that you:

• See the cart in person, and test drive it.
• Check the title and registration if it's street legal, and match the VIN to the paperwork.
• Have it inspected by a mechanic you trust if you're unsure of its condition.
• Never send money before you've seen the cart and the paperwork. Be wary of anyone who asks for payment by wire transfer or gift card, or who can't meet in person.

6. Contact Seller messages

Buyers contact sellers through our Contact Seller form. We deliver the message by email, and the seller replies directly to the buyer. Use it only to ask about the cart for sale: no spam, no sales pitches, no harassment. We may block anyone who misuses it.

7. Photos and content you share

You keep ownership of your photos, descriptions and anything else you post. By posting it, you give us permission to display, crop, resize, store and share it on the site and in promoting the site, for as long as it's posted and for a reasonable time after.

If a photo shows other people, you confirm they're happy for it to be shared.

You may not post anything that is illegal, explicit, hateful, threatening, misleading, or that infringes someone else's rights, and you may not use the site to advertise anything other than the cart in your listing.

8. Advertisers and dealers

Advertising and dealer placements are covered by a separate agreement. Ads on the site are clearly marked. We don't endorse any advertiser, and a sponsor's presence on a page doesn't mean we've checked or approved their products or services.

9. Safety and rules information

Our cart safety, rules and etiquette pages are general information, not legal advice. Rules change and local rules can be stricter than state law, so check the official sources linked on those pages.

10. No warranties

The site is provided "as is." We don't promise it will always be available or error-free, that any listing is accurate, or that any buyer or seller will act as promised.

11. Limit of our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, from any listing, or from any transaction or contact between users, including a cart that isn't as described, a payment that goes wrong, or an injury. If we're found liable anyway, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $100 if you haven't paid us anything.

12. Your responsibility to us

If your listing, your content or your use of the site leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, including legal fees.

13. Ending your use of the site

You can stop using the site and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or remove any account or listing that breaks these terms.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. Using the site after that means you accept the new version.

15. Florida law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Sumter County, Florida.

16. Trademarks

THE VILLAGES® is a registered trademark of Holding Company of The Villages, Inc. VillagesGolfCartSales.com is an independent marketplace and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Holding Company of The Villages, Inc. or its affiliated companies. Cart makes and models named in listings belong to their owners.
