How do I change my listing, or mark my cart sold?
Go to VillagesGolfCartSales.com/sell/manage and sign in. All your carts are on that one page, and each one has three buttons: change it, mark it sold, or take it down.
Getting there
- Go to VillagesGolfCartSales.com/sell/manage.
- Type the email address you used when you listed the cart.
- We send you a link. Click it and you are in. There is no password.
The link in the email you got when your cart went on the site takes you to the same place. So does the link in any sign-in email.
If the page asks for your email, you are just signed out — nothing has happened to your cart. See signing in.
Changing something
Tap Change this cart. The form opens underneath that cart, already filled in with everything you typed before. Change what you need and save.
If your cart is on the site, the change is live straight away. There is nothing else to press and nothing to wait for. The web address of your listing never changes, so anything you have already sent to somebody keeps working.
You can change the price as often as you like. Nothing on the site says that a price changed, or how long your cart has been listed.
Changing the photos or the video
Tap Change the photos and video under a cart that is on the site. You can add, remove and reorder photos, and add, change or remove a video walkaround on a premium or dealer listing. Each change is live straight away — tap Done when you have finished.
- A basic listing shows up to 4 photos; premium and dealer up to 8, plus the video. See adding photos and adding a video walkaround.
- A listing on the site keeps its minimum number of photos, so add a new photo before removing the last of the old ones.
- The photo at the top is the one on your card, and the card's colour comes from it.
Marking it sold
Tap Mark it sold, and we ask you once to confirm. You can also tap It sold in any email we have sent about the cart — no sign-in needed. See marking your cart sold.
What happens then:
- Your cart stays in its place on the site for 10 days, with SOLD across its photo.
- Buyers can no longer send you a message. The contact form comes off the page completely.
- After those 10 days it leaves the list of carts on its own. You do not have to do anything.
We leave it up for the 10 days on purpose. People who were looking at your cart can see it went, rather than wondering whether they missed something.
Changed your mind? Undo sold
If a sale falls through, tap Undo sold under the cart and confirm. It goes back on sale in the same place, and buyers can message you again.
These three — Mark it sold, Undo sold and Take it down — sit in their own row below a line, away from the everyday buttons, and each one asks you once before it does anything.
Taking it down
Tap Take it down, and we ask you once to confirm.
This removes the cart and its photos for good. We cannot put them back. If you change your mind later you would list it again from the start.
If you have sold the cart, use Mark it sold instead — it comes down by itself 10 days later and you do not lose anything in the meantime.
What the labels mean
| It says | What that means |
|---|---|
| On the site | Anybody can see it. |
| Not finished | You started it but have not posted it. Nobody can see it. |
| Sold | On the site for 10 days marked SOLD, then it comes down. |
| Finished | Its time ran out — nobody answered the "still for sale?" email, or a dealer's run ended. |
Private sellers list free. Every 30 days we email to ask if your cart is still for sale; tap Yes, it's still for sale in that email, or on this page, and it stays up another 30 days.
If something will not save
"Your cart needs more photos to stay on the site." You have tried to save a live listing with fewer photos than it needs — 1 for a basic listing, 3 for a premium or dealer listing. Your listing is still up, exactly as it was — add a photo and save again. See adding photos.
"This one cannot be changed any more." A cart you marked sold stays as a record of the sale, and a cart you took down is gone. Neither can be edited. You can always list the cart again as a new one.
